The picture above was a dream at one time by the Tampa Bay Fil-Am Community. They made their dream come true.
If they can do it, we can do it, too.

Friends, it is time to unite and make our dream come true. Let us build a multi-purpose cultural center that we can call our own, our legacy to our generation and to the next generation of Filipino – Americans. We have to be proud of our heritage and a multi-purpose cultural center will not only provide us with the identity but also the visibility as a proud Fil-Am community not only here in Memphis but also in the surrounding areas. We need a place to call home away from home. A multi-purpose cultural center will provide us with endless opportunities to grow.
The opportunity and responsibility to continue upholding our heritage lies not only in our generation but also in the younger generation. Our show of unity and solidarity will be the best example to our children, the next generation that will keep our heritage alive. I am proud of our people. Filipinos are inherently kind, gracious, loving, hospitable and beautiful people. We are hard workers, we adapt well to our new environment and we are fun-loving people.
On behalf of our elected officers, I urge you to look closely at the picture and make it a reality for you and for your children.  Support your multi-purpose cultural center and send your pledge.
